Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding
Spend an adventure packed day exploring the vast and varied terrain
on Beaver Creek or Vail Mountain. Private and group ski or snowboard
lessons are available for ages three and up. For something different
challenge yourself and others . Beaver Creek has a Nastar Race course
which is open daily and is a nationally handicapped racing format
with medals. Results are posted daily on Nastar.com. Alternatively
try the ‘Pay to Race’ course. It is little easier and
costs only one dollar to race. Both Vail and Beaver Creek provide
mountain tours daily for confident skiers. The tours are a fantastic
way to learn the individuality of each mountain. During the day take
a well earned break and warm up in one of the on-mountain restaurants.
Nordic Skiing
Take a day to explore the beautiful cross country skiing areas. Cross
country skiing is a great way to take advantage of the Rockies while
sneaking in a workout. Venture to one of the parks or speak with your
Concierge about arranging a private tour. The private tour will enable
you to go to unpopulated areas and take in the tranquility of your
mountain retreat. Equipment and lunch will be included.
Telemarking
Take skiing to a new level and challenge yourself to master telemarking.

The Talons Challenge
If you are feeling brave take a shot at the renowned Talons Challenge.
The Talons Challenge hosts some of the most demanding terrain in Colorado.
In order to become a team member each person must ski or board a certain
amount of designated terrain. There are two levels which can be reached – Gold or Platinum. After becoming a member, each person receives
various commemorative items. The challenge must be completed with
an instructor during a lesson in order to become a Talons team member.
Snow Shoeing
Indulge in a winter hike on snow shoes throughout the beautiful backcountry
terrain in Colorado. Snowshoe at McCoy park in Beaver Creek or ask
your Concierge to arrange a private tour with lunch and equipment
included.
Sleigh Rides
Nothing embodies the Rocky Mountain Winter more than a horse drawn
sleigh ride through the Aspens and across the rolling meadows.
Dog Sledding
Connect with nature and experience the wonder of these majestic and powerful animals. Glide through the snow on a
sleigh pulled by a team of Alaskan Huskies and experience the romance and lure of the Rockies.
Ice Skating
Twirl and swirl your way around the Beaver Creek Ice Rink. Wonder
around the village, shop, have some food and a drink, or simply sit back
and relax after a day on the slopes.
Performing Arts
The Vilar Center in the heart of Beaver Creek has a fantastic array
of shows to whisk you away from reality. Performances include jazz,
classical music, comedy shows, musicals, a circus, ballet and dance
to name a few.
Golfing
Colorado's Vail Valley is home to more than a dozen world-class golf courses. Guests at The Ritz-Carlton Club enjoy special privileges and access to many of the Vail Valley's private Golf Clubs including the Fazio and Norman Courses at the exclusive Red Sky Golf Club, recently rated in "Top 100 Courses to Play" by Golf Magazine.
Hot Air Ballooning
Soar high into the skies for a bird’s eye view of the Colorado
Rockies. This is the perfect way to see the mountains from a completely
different perspective. A balloon ride is great for a family outing or
a romantic trip for two. You can either do a full excursion or a taste
of ballooning. All trips include a post landing ceremony including a
certificate and a glass of champagne.
Thursday Night Lights
Watch the glow stick ski down the mountain accompanied by music. Enjoy
a small fireworks display after. The adventurous can participate in
the ski down (must be level five skier or above).
Adventure Ridge
Spend a fun filled afternoon atop Vail Mountain. Ride the gondola,
slide down the tubing hill, race around the snowmobile track (ages
6 – 12 years), ice skate, snow shoe, show your skills at orienteering,
play laser tag, jump high on the rebound trampoline, ride a ski bike
or simply have a drink or some food and take in the spectacular views.
Snowmobiling
Climb aboard for a fun filled adventure on your own Snowmobile while exploring the National Historic Site of Camp Hale or the beauty of the Gore Range. Snowmobiles are available both guided and unguided for single or double riders.
Fly Fishing
Take advantage of the year round fly fishing on offer in Colorado.
If you are feeling brave this is a fantastic way to enjoy the serenity
of the mountains, relax and be at one with nature.

Have a photographer record your Colorado Vacation. Let the photographer
